Helicopter Pilot Scholarships Still Up For Grabs

Flght training scholarships imageWith less than 17 weeks to go until Helicentre Aviation’s Professional Pilot scholarships application process comes to a close, the company is sending out a global message to potential candidates that there is still time to apply. Incredibly, despite receiving over 900 registrations of interest, not a single complete application form has been received for either of the two scholarships which hold a combined value of around £67,000. “When we announced the scholarships almost a year ago we thought we’d be inundated with applicants” says Captain Chris Line, the company’s Chairman. “We are looking for two motivated people who deserve a career break – we’re really excited about the awarding the scholarships and creating an opportunity for these pilots to start their real-world helicopter industry careers with Helicentre Aviation”.

Helicentre logoThe commercial pilot scholarship is the most valuable and unique opportunity, as it will allow one private pilot who graduates from Helicentre’s PPL(H) course before 31st March 2013 to get their hour building, commercial theoretical knowledge course and modular flying course paid for in full with no requirement to pay back any of the training provided. This scale of this opportunity is unheard of in the industry, and whilst for a motivated and committed ab-initio student, the time remaining is ample to complete a PPL(H) course, this really is a final call to get started given the short days and unpredictable weather. Serious candidates are advised to get in touch with the company as soon as possible.

The second scholarship, which is for a fully funded flight instructor rating, requires the applicant to complete their CPL(H) modular flying course before the end of March. Again, places are limited and pilots who are ready to commence their CPL course are urged to get in touch straight away as there will likely be an opportunity for the scholarship winner to land an full time instructing position as well as getting their FI(H) course paid for. Helicentre Aviation have delivered more than 20 instructor courses in the last two years and are always on the lookout for new instructors to join the team.
