UAV Pilot Training update – Unmanned Vehicle University (UVU) received a university license from the Arizona State Board for Private Postseconday Education. The license grants UVU the authority to grant Doctorate and Master’s Degrees in Unmanned (Air/Ground/Sea/Space) Systems Engineering. A Certificate in Unmanned Systems Project Management is also available for Undergraduates. “This milestone in the school’s history validates our curricula and courses as a viable path toward high-paying jobs as program/project managers, systems engineers and researchers in the unmanned systems career field” said UVU President Dr. Jerry LeMieux, adding “we will continue to create innovative ways to educate our students though our distance education programs” .

UVU is the first University in the World dedicated to education and training in unmanned air, ground, sea and space systems, and offers UAV pilot training at several locations in the U.S. Master of Science and Doctorate degrees are offered in Unmanned Systems Engineering through an online curriculum. The school also offers technical training in unmanned systems through online Executive Certificate Courses and three day short courses. UVU recently published a textbook on unmanned systems, Introduction to Unmanned Systems: Air, Ground, Sea and Space, Technologies and Commercial Applications. The book is available at
