Corporate Pilot Salary

What can you expect to make per year?

Corporate Pilot Salaries

corporate pilot salariesHow much do corporate pilots get paid? As with all things aviation, it depends. Aircraft type, seniority, rank, and experience all play a role in how much you can earn. For example, pilots who fly a massive business jet like a Gulfstream G550 will earn significantly more than a corporate pilot flying a single engine piston airplane. Corporate Pilot Salary

According to the Bureau of Labor Statistics' most recent study in 2008, half of all commercial pilots earned between $45,680 and $89,540. The lowest 10% of commercial pilots earned less than $32,000 and the highest 10% earned more than $129,000. As you can see, experienced corporate pilots can make a great living, but you'll have to pay your dues to get there.

Corporate Pilot Benefits

There's even more good news. Corporate pilots are often eligible to receive a compensation package that includes benefits like life insurance, health insurance, and retirement plans. Other incentives may be included too, such as daily allowances for food when traveling and other types of insurance like disability. However, corporate pilots rarely receive any travel benefits with their company. Discover more about corporate pilot training.
