Pennsylvania is a historic state with scenery that includes plains, hills and valleys. You’ll find a lot of things to do if you decide to go to Flight Schools here. There are some differences in climate in the state’s two largest cities.

Philadelphia is the largest city in Pennsylvania. Summer temperatures here range between 70 degrees and 86 degrees. Winter temperatures are between 25 and 39 degrees. The annual snowfall here is about 20 inches.

More than 36 million people from the United States visited Philadelphia in 2009. You’ll really enjoy attending training in Philadelphia if you have an interest in American history. The city was founded in 1682 and is full of historic sites and museums. You can learn about history indoors during the winter and wander through Philadelphia’s historic streets during the summer.

The Philadelphia History Museum has exhibits and displays focusing on the city’s 300 years of history. You can tour the house where Betsy Ross lived. You’ll be able to visit Independence Hall and see where the Declaration of Independence was signed. The Liberty Bell is on display at the Liberty Bell Center. The City Tavern was established in 1773. You can eat lunch or dinner here. Exhibits at the National Constitution Center focus on the history of the Constitution.

You’ll find some interesting places less than two hours from Philadelphia. Lancaster is about 80 miles from Philadelphia. Many Amish people live in Lancaster County. You can take a buggy ride through Amish farmland. The VF Outlet Center in Reading is about 65 miles from Philadelphia. Hershey is about an hour and half away from Philadelphia. Hershey’s Chocolate World here specializes in Hershey chocolate products. Some areas of the Poconos Mountains are about 85 miles from Philadelphia. The mountains have places for skiing in the winter and hiking in the summer.

Pittsburgh is the second largest city in the state. The summer temperatures here are between 62 degrees and 85 degrees. The winter temperatures range between 20 degrees and 37 degrees. About 43 inches of snow fall here every year.

There are a variety of things to do in Pittsburgh. You can watch the Pittsburgh Steelers play at Heinz Field. There are hockey games at Mellon Arena. Concerts are held at the Benedum Center. You can see over 400 species of animals at the Pittsburgh Zoo & PPG Aquarium.

Pittsburgh has museums and historic sites. Some of the museums in the city are the Carnegie Museum of Art, the Westmoreland Museum of American Art and the Andy Warhol Museum. The house at the Woodville Plantation was built around 1780. The house and the grounds are open for tours.
