Benny started Mallory Airport in 1953 with a 600' dirt strip, which has evolved into a 1904' paved runway with 75 planes based on the field and is the busiest airport in West Virginia. Benny is a Master single engine, multi-engine, sea plane, and helicopter Instructor. He has been an FAA Designated Pilot Examiner for airplanes and helicopters. Benny taught both of our current instructors to fly, and instruct. His students number in the thousands, and fly worldwide in everything from airliners and fighters to bush planes.
