You’ll appreciate the scenery in Washington if you like to see mountains and green trees. Most of the state’s major cities are located in valleys between the mountain ranges. The climate varies in different parts of the state. The city of Spokane in the eastern part of the state gets 48 8inches of snow a year. Temperatures during the winter range between 20 and 34 degrees. Summer temperatures can be as high as 80 degrees.

The city of Seattle is on the water and receives 36 inches of rain annually. The snowfall during the winter is between seven and eleven inches. Winter temperatures range from 35 to 45 degrees. Temperatures during the summer go up to 85 degrees. Tacoma is 33 miles south of Seattle. The temperatures in Tacoma are about the same as they are in Seattle.

Seattle is the largest city in the state. It is on Puget Sound. You’ll enjoy attending Flight & Helicopter Schools International Students here if you like water. A panoramic view of the Seattle skyline is visible when you take a cruise around Puget Sound. A visit to the Seattle Aquarium will give you a chance to observe the state’s marine life. You’ll have a wonderful view of the waterfront, downtown and the rest of the city from the rotating observation deck at the Space Needle.

Spokane is the second largest city in Washington. It is near mountains and lakes. You’ll find plenty of recreational activities here. Mount Spokane State Park is 30 miles from Spokane. You can ski here during the day or at night. There are places to camp during the summer. West Blackhorse Lake is about 18 miles from Spokane. You’ll be able to fish here during warm weather.

The Spokane River flows through the city. Riverfront Park is on the edge of the river and there are a lot of things to do there. You can walk along the Centennial Trail next to the river. A trip on the SkyRide will give you a scenic view of the river and Spokane Falls.

Tacoma is the third largest city in Washington. You’ll learn about the state’s history at the Washington State History Museum. You can see artists working with glass at the Museum of Glass.

One of the places to shop in Tacoma is Freighthouse Square. This is a 110,000 square foot building with shops and restaurants.
