![]() Regional Jet Standards Certification Current demand for airline pilots is so great that airlines are hiring pilots with historic low flight experience and directly from ATP’s Airline Career Pilot Program. While this is terrific news for those now pursuing a professional pilot career, the industry is demanding higher performance from low-time pilots in the airline training environment. As the number one source of pilots for the regional airlines, ATP ensures that our graduates are the most qualified 250-hour commercial pilots entering the job market. Airlines recognize ATP’s Regional Jet Training as certification by ATP that you are a professional aviator, capable of passing their strenuous airline training. Ask any pilot who has completed ATP’s regional jet training, and you will hear that it reduced stress and improved performance in airline ground school. The bottom line is that Regional Jet Standards Certification ensures that even with relatively low flight time, you are best prepared to enter the airline pilot job market. Commercial Pilots ready to start an airline career can now receive advanced jet training and enhance their ability to achieve their overall goals. The Regional Jet Standards Certification Course introduces pilots to Swept Wing Jet Aircraft flying, systems, and navigation in order to prepare pilots for fast paced airline training. GUARANTEED AIRLINE PILOT INTERVIEW Letters of agreement from 10 of the largest national and regional airlines offer reduced TT/ME minimums to graduates of ATP's Regional Jet Program and guarantee an interview upon completion of this course. Course Description Regional Jet Standards Certification trains pilots on Regional Jet systems common to both Bombardier and Embraer Regional Jets, FMS navigation, airline-level Crew Resource Management, airline standard operating procedures, and includes 28 hours of FTD flight experience and CPT instruction plus ground school. Prior to arriving at the simulator training center, students must complete at least 40 hours of home study using materials provided upon scheduling. Pilots begin training by attending an aircraft systems/FMS ground school where they learn and master the latest glass cockpit technology found in Regional Airline aircraft: * Flight Management Systems (FMS) * Electronic Flight Instrumentation Systems (EFIS) * Engine Indication and Crew Alerting Systems (EICAS) * Advanced Regional Jet Aircraft Systems The topics covered use the CRJ-200 as a base aircraft, but are presented in a manner that allows for the primary principles to apply to many regional jet aircraft and some turbo prop aircraft. Next, pilots undergo 28 hours of training in a CRJ-200 FTD and CPT to apply and perfect the ground school knowledge. All FTD instructors have extensive FAR Part 121 airline experience. At the end of training, pilots must fly the CRJ-200 FTD to Airline Transport Pilot standards during an evaluation conducted by the Regional Jet Program Director or a senior Check Airman. If completed successfully, pilots will receive a certificate of completion which qualifies them for reduced hiring minimums.
