Our pilot training courses
In accordance with the European Aviation Safety Agency and under the authority of the Italian Civil Aviation Authority.
PRIVATE PILOT LICENSE - PPL
The PPL is most pilots’ first step into the world of flight, whether they intend to fly for a hobby or to begin a career. The license allows you to act without pay as the Pilot In Command or co-pilot on non-commercial flights.
AIRLINE TRANSPORT PILOT LICENSE - ATPL
The ATPL is the highest level of pilot license. It enables you to pilot multi-pilot multi-engine aeroplanes engaged in commercial air transport. With this license, you start your career as a pilot from being a First Officer to becoming Pilot In Command as you gain professional experience.
At Accademia del Volo you can complete the Integrated Route to gain your Airline Transport Pilot License. This is a continuous training path in which the theoretical and practical part are completely integrated, and is the most direct route for getting your Frozen ATPL*.
* The license is defined as ‘frozen’ until you gain 1,500 hours of experience working as a First Officer, at which point it can be ‘unfrozen’ and you will be eligible to be considered for promotion to captain.
