AIM-Orlando offers an FAA approved, Part 147, Aviation Maintenance Technician (AMT) program which qualifies graduates to become certified Airframe and Powerplant mechanics.

AIM-Orlando’s AMT program is designed to assist students to prepare for entry level employment in aviation and aviation related fields. By attending day or evening classes, students can develop the technical knowledge and skills required to pass FAA exams and secure employment throughout the world. AIM instructors are certified mechanics with extensive experience working on general aviation, commercial and military aircraft. The curriculum involves sufficient classroom time devoted to learning the basics and hours of hands on training in the shop. Students are trained to service, repair and troubleshoot aircraft components and systems including the airframe, propellers, instrumentation, piston engines, turbine engines, electrical, hydraulic, warning, and environmental systems. AIM-Orlando graduates are well qualified to take the FAA license tests and to secure well paid positions with major and regional airlines.
