Here at Avionica, we train the human resource in accordance with the standards that companies in the aviation industry need and demand. The training that we offer is 20% theoretical and 80% on the job training (OJT) type of training, lasts 3 months (two days a week / 2 hours). Includes: Exams for the FCC licenses, certificates of training completion, we will assist our fellow members with revising resumes, assistance in job opportunities and a 1 year membership with our association which includes workshops totally free for 1 year in our facilities. The aviation industry approaches our association seeking the avionics personnel trained by us to work in companies as certified and FCC licensed avionics technicians.
Avionica Orlando offers continuing professional training and licenses required by federal entities to exercise and practice the profession of avionics. We seek to bring together a representation of such group of professionals in Latin America. Training includes reviews and tests for 2 of the most important licenses of the Federal Communications Commission (FCC) and one-year membership of the Avionics Technicians Association, Inc. we also are the only Chief Examiner of the FCC in the State of Florida. This on the job training (OJT) will cover topics such as: Electronic navigation instruments and communication, technical education, aviation safety, quality control, human factor, anything related to newest aviation technology known as New Generation.
Who We Are
We are a group of professionals in the field of the new generation of aircraft technology, known as Avionica, we are the only Spanish speaking organization of its kind and we have expertise in military field, commercial aviation, civil, corporate and sports. Our staff comes from the United States Air Force (USAF), United States Navy (USN), Puerto Rico National Guard (PRNG), Eastern Airline, NASA and Boeing.
We have established this non-profit organization under the laws of the government of Puerto Rico, with the commitment to contribute to aviation safety through continuing education, news, articles of social interest in the field of aeronautics, aviation security issues, new technology and short training on this technology in our training center located inside of the international Luis Muñoz Marín International Airport and in Kissimmee Gateway Airport in Kissimmee, FL.
Is of our interest to reach the United States' community with our purposes and that they can be useful to staff working in the field of aviation. In November 2011 we launched the first issue of our magazine called Avionica, with the participation of NASA, Federal Aviation Administration (FAA), federal commission of communication (FCC) and also we are Chief Examiner of the FCC. Thus is of our mission to carry the purpose of our commitment in this new technology with the goal of contributing to aviation security.
