Advantages of East Coast Aero Club

Quality Instruction
The East Coast Aero Club is unique in the experience level of our pilots. Whereas many flight schools have a hard time retaining instructors once they reach 1000 hours, most of our instructors have at least 1000 hours and several have more than 2000 hours. That experience equals a higher standard of training and safety.

Well-Maintained Aircraft
ECAC has the newest training fleet in New England and always maintain our aircraft to the highest of standards. We employ an experienced staff of full-time aviation technicians to ensure timely maintenance that exceeds FAA standards. We are the only flight school with on-site maintenance.

Helicopter Rental hourly rates (wet)

2005 Robinson R22 $225
2006 Robinson R44 $329 ($299 check/debit)
2008 Robinson R44 IFR trainer $329

Commitment to Improve
ECAC has spent over $600,000 in new aircraft acquisitions, engine replacements and avionics upgrades in 2005. We monitor the condition of our aircraft constantly and regularly upgrade the paint, interiors and radios as required.

Commitment to Quality
We use high quality aviation fuel and well-respected engine overhaul facilities such as the Lycoming factory. We never use automotive gasoline or "shade tree" overhauls.

Relaxed Atmosphere
Our club is a fun and relaxed place to hang out. You will find other pilots and aviation enthusiasts to talk to and go flying with!

Insurance to Protect the Pilot
We maintain an insurance policy from a well-respected aviation provider. Our coverage is $1 million combined single limit and full hull value. Each pilot is also covered for liability in the amount of $100,000 per person/$300,000 per occurance as an additional insured.
