The Training Program
Our program trains you from zero to 40 hours to get your Private Helicopter License and then you'll build another 100 or so hours and get your Commercial Helicopter License. As there are no jobs at 150 hours we'll have you continue to fly with an Instructor until you get 300 hours and then meet our insurance and we'll give you a job at $20 per hour. We have a contract with a photo company that makes this possible. Helicopter Academy takes pictures under contract for Boatpix.
We understand the importance of the student-instructor relationship; therefore, all training will be tailored to meet your individual needs. Contact us today to see how we can help you begin your career as a helicopter pilot.
Helicopter Academy has a condo available for students at Lantana Airport in West Palm Beach, FL.
Students attending flight training and/or hour building in the Florida area are offered accommodations here for only $150 pr week (based on availability).
Other accommodations for students can be arranged on an "as needed" basis. To get more information about the accommodation possibilities, contact your preferred training location.
Helicopter Academy is now proud to offer very low interest flight training student loans (may be available for those who qualify) through SLM Financial, a Sallie Mae Company. The Career Training Loan ™ has been designed specifically to help you finance your helicopter flight training and can save you money compared with other financing options. The Career Training Loan ™ offers loans up to $80,000.
