We offer fast, high-quality primary and advanced helicopter flight training in the Robinson R-22 and R-44. Our flight instructor, Jerry Trimble, has been flying the Robinson since pre-certification. He has spent his life in the helicopter industry and has worked in EMS, logging, fire-fighting, flight training and ENG. He holds an A&P mechanic certification with IA authorization.

Since flight training in the Robinson is our main focus, you can be guaranteed our full attention to give you the best flight training possible

helicopter school in Oregon Jerry Trimble Helicopters is located in McMinnville, Oregon, approximately 50 miles southwest of Portland, Oregon. The McMinnville airport is located in a valley in the heart of Oregon wine country. To the east we have the Oregon Cascade mountain range and to the west we have the Pacific Coastal range. We have very mild weather year round which makes for great helicopter flight training.

Please note that Flight Training at the California location will only take place December-February due to the excessive heat.

Whether you want to start your helicopter flight lessons or just take a scenic flight, our $75 demo flight is your ticket.

You can sit in the pilot seat and fly a helicopter for the fist time under the supervision of a professional instructor or just sit back, relax and take in the sights. If desired, your pilot/instructor will explain the operational systems of the helicopter and you will receive safety training on the Robinson R-22.
