Johnston Flying Services offers professional flight training in Houma, Louisiana. Staffed with a group of experienced flight instructors, we are well equipped to meet all of your flight training needs.

We are approved under FAR Part 141 for private, instrument, and commercial training, and our Part 141 courses are also approved for the training of U.S. Veterans.

Airplane Single Engine Land - Private Pilot Course

Prerequisites:
1.) Must be 17 years old. Note: A student pilot certificate can be obtained at age 16.
2.) Be able to read, speak, write, and understand the English language.
3.) Must obtain a 3rd class FAA medical with a student pilot certificate or higher.

Course Outline
• 30 hours dual instruction in a Cessna 150
• 10 hours solo flight in a Cessna 150
• Ground school and books
• FAA medical exam
• FAA knowledge test
• FAA practical test, including aircraft rental

Airplane Single Engine Land - Instrument Course

Prerequisites:
1.) Hold a current Airplane Single Engine Land Private Pilot rating.
2.) Must have a current FAA 3rd class medical or higher.
3.) Have logged at least 50 hours of cross country time as Pilot-in-command.

Course Outline
• 40 hours dual instruction in a Cessna 150
• Ground school and books
• FAA knowledge test
• FAA practical test, including aircraft rental
