Mountain Ridge Helicopters now offers FAR Part 141 training, a rigorous program in which a student’s instruction is regimented and structured to provide the most comprehensive training available. VA-Approved Helicopter Flight Training Program Mountain Ridge Helicopters is approved through the Veterans Administration to receive payment for flight training through the Post 911 GI Bill for approved courses. In addition, Veterans eligible for benefits under Chapter 30 and 1606 will receive reimbursement for VA approved courses that they complete at Mountain Ridge Helicopters. We have worked with numerous Veterans over the years and have fought very hard for them to have access to all the benefits available. We train exclusively in Robinson R22 and R44 aircraft and offer training at high altitude in order to best prepare your for your career in aviation. As a student in our flight training program, you can expect top notch instruction from our instructors and a curriculum designed to provide you with the capability of becoming a professional pilot in the helicopter industry, and an incredible instructor. As a flight school, we understand that each student learns differently and is going to excel in different areas. We want to cater to each individual’s needs and that’s why our program has offers one-on-one, hands-on helicopter training. We’ve created a learning environment that’s professional and inspiring. Your flight instructor isn’t there to simply tell you how to fly, but instead to guide you along in your own interpretation and understanding. Each student is treated as an individual and respected for his/ her style of learning.As a professional student, you can expect to spend at least two hours 5 days per week with us. Some of that time will be spent flying and some will be spent in the classroom. We believe that with your desire to learn and our commitment to your success, you will rapidly excel. Student Services Although Mountain Ridge does not provide housing, transportation, or employment, our staff will gladly assist any student in finding appropriate housing, transportation, or employment while attending our school. Mountain Ridge Helicopters keeps close contacts within the community and is usually able to assist our students with any needs that may arise during their training. Mountain Ridge Helicopters does not guarantee employment within the helicopter industry upon graduation of our programs. Job Placement Assistance Mountain Ridge Helicopters maintains contacts within the helicopter industry, both locally and nationwide, and will assist students by making referrals and coordinating job interviews when appropriate. Upon request, Mountain Ridge Helicopters will assist the student with his/her resume development. Although Mountain Ridge Helicopters provides placement assistance, the school does not guarantee employment or job placement. CATS Testing Center  Mountain Ridge Helicopters is a CATS testing facility. Computer Assisted Testing Service (CATS) delivers computer-based examinations for Sponsors and Agencies involved in educational, licensing, or certification testing. Being the Cache Valley's only public testing facility to offer FAA written exams, Mountain Ridge provides students with a state of the art facility and friendly staff to administer exams.
