Fleet and Facilities

We operate a modern fleet of 6 new from the factory Cessna 172SPs. Aircraft are replaced every 18 months. Aircraft are glass cockpit, GPS (WAAS) equipped, with XM Satellite weather and NEXRAD radar depiction.

We also fly two twin-engine Piper Aztecs, a Super Decathlon, a Super Cub on floats, an IFR-equipped Cessna 152, and a Cessna 172RG.

Our classes are taught in our large, modern facility at the Aero Park Campus at Cherry Capital Airport (KTVC) in Traverse City, Michigan. NMC has its own maintenance department, which is a Cessna-certified repair station.

Job Opportunities

NMC Aviation graduates have experienced excellent placement rates, having gone on to jobs with United, American, and Delta Airlines; FedEx and UPS; Amway, Dow, and Steelcase; NetJets, Flight Options, and Citation Air; all branches of the US Department of Defense, and others.
