Aviation’s "Best Kept Secret"
Located in Ft. Lauderdale, Florida, Professional Flight Training (PFT) is often called the "best kept secret in aviation" training. While other schools have attracted attention through splashy advertising, and well-heeled sales teams — this school has been quietly producing hundreds of high, quality pilots for the last seventeen years simply via "word of mouth". "We have participated in this industry for many years and our business has evolved into what we believe is the ultimate experience in flight training," says Patricia Ross,
who along with her husband, Gary, runs this second generation family business.

A Unique Training Format
"Students need a strong career training format, but also want to be recognized as an individual and a paying customer," Ross adds. "They don’t want to get lost in the shuffle. They deserve to fly great equipment, have access to new technology, and be given a guided path to a new career — With all that said, they are still looking for ’warm and fuzzy’. We are unique in that we are able to meet all of these criteria. From the moment our customers walk through the door, they are treated like family. We vow to give them the most satisfying experience in aviation training!"

Our New Expanded Facility
With a training philosophy that combines the highest aviation standards and customer service —- Professional Flight Training’s secret is finally out. PFT has recently announced its plans to expand its existing presence at Ft. Lauderdale Executive Airport with the construction of a new 25,000 square foot training facility. The estimated completion date is fall 2006.

A World Class Education
When visiting PFT’s new training center customers will enjoy one of the business’ founding principals — treating each customer as if they were a guest in their home. The magnificent new facility will place special emphasis on advanced flight training devices such as PFT’s new glass cockpit trainer which replicates the traits of the B-737-NG series. "We’ve designed our facility with future needs in mind. Our glass trainer is no longer an ‘add on’ to our Professional Pilot Program," adds Gary Ross. "It is a must have — it is now incorporated within our syllabus."

Easy First Steps
Students are often reluctant to make long term commitments to programs that take them beyond the "plain vanilla" Commercial Certificate due to the element of risk. PFT understands their hesitancy when airline minimum hiring requirements and school training alliances change on an almost daily basis! For this reason, PFT encourages the student to take easy "first steps." The PFT program can be paid in $2,000 increments and there is no penalty for cancellation. At the end of the course, counseling is available to determine the "next step" based on current market conditions and the student’s unique profile. All PFT courses can be customized for the working student or noncareer orientated student.

One Size Does Not Fit All
PFT’s Professional Pilot Training Program is the basic "general requirement" needed to be legally employed as a U.S. Commercial Pilot. The course takes about six months to complete and costs are carefully "estimated" as one size never fits all!

Instruction
All PFT courses follow the proven curriculum of the Jeppesen Sanderson Pilot Training System Jeppesen Sanderson, a Times-Mirror company, is the world’s leader in flight information and pilot training systems. PFT uses their syllabus which are based on the building block theory of learning and are specifically designed to FAA requirements. In addition to these flight and ground training courses, flight training devices are used within all programs thereby providing the student with a comprehensive training program. Flight Training devices utilize state of the art technology and reflect the current trend in airline training practices.

Professional Flight Training maintains a clean, well maintained fleet of Piper and Beechcraft Aircraft. Serviced by a team of on-site technicians, the fleet has excellent availability to the students. Professional Flight Training does not participate in the aircraft rental business. Location
Fort Lauderdale Executive Airport (FXE) is located eight miles northwest of Ft. Lauderdale International Airport , and five miles west of the Atlantic Coastline on Commercial Boulevard. It is strategically located within Florida’s premier commercial corridor (between Miami and West Palm Beach ), and is the fifth busiest general aviation airport in the country. For this reason, Executive provides an excellent learning environment for those seeking a career in aviation. The student is trained to develop the radio and navigational skills needed to maneuver within intensely controlled airspace. This is considered an extremely valuable training element and great preparation for actual commercial conditions. The field is also equipped for instrument approaches (ILS/NDB), and is in close proximity to satellite training facilities that offer a wide variety of instrument approach procedures (ie: Pompano localizer; Palm Beach; VOR/NDB/ILS/Localizer). Furthermore – the expansive, designated practice area to the northwest of the airport is available for intensive student training.
