Upper Limit Aviation (ULA) is uniquely partnered with SLCC and Cornerstone Aviation (CSA) to offer a Professional Pilot Program for both helicopter/rotorcraft and fixed-wing aircraft. Both are FAR Part 141 schools offering a thorough, standardized curriculum.In addition to obtaining an Associate of Science (AS) degree in the Professional Pilot Program, students will have access to the financial aid, academic counseling, and support infrastructure of the fourth largest community college in the nation. G.I. Bill / Flight Training Since 2007, Upper Limit Aviation’s flight training courses, including its special curricula courses, have been approved by the Veteran’s Affair Administration (VA) to provide benefits under Chapters 30, 31, 1606 and 1607 of the Montgomery G.I. Bill. If a student has exhausted all of their flight training benefits under Chapter 30, they may be eligible to receive additional benefits under Chapter 33 through Salt Lake Community College (SLCC). Those who have served active-duty post-9/11 may be eligible for Chapter 33 (9/11 GI Bill) benefits by enrolling in the Associate of Science in Professional Pilot program or the Professional Pilot Certificate Program at SLCC. Further, SLCC offers benefits under Chapters 30, 31, 33, 1606 and 1607, including those for dependents and spouses.This allows those who have served in one of the various branches of the military to use their benefits towards flight training, however, benefits are highly individual. Neither ULA nor SLCC has the ability to adjudicate which type of benefit a student will receive. VA Approved Flight Courses Salt Lake Community College (SLCC) is currently the only college program in the state of Utah, in association with Upper Limit Aviation and Cornerstone Aviation, offering VA approved courses for both helicopters and fixed-wing. Benefits are available under Chapters 30, 31, 33, 1606 and 1607. ULA's FAR Part 141 certificates, including its special curricula courses, have also been approved by the Veterans Administration. Benefits, for those who qualify, include Private to CFII under Chapter 33, or Instrument to CFII under Chapter 30. Additionally, if a student has exhausted their current Chapter 30 benefits they may be eligible to enroll in SLCC, receiving another 12 months of benefits under Chapter 33. Because this partnership is unique, the relationship between the VA, SLCC, and Upper Limit Aviation is constantly being updated and redefined.
