You’ll appreciate the scenery in Washington if you like to see mountains and green trees. Most of the state’s major cities are located in valleys between the mountain ranges. The Spokane River flows through the city. Riverfront Park is on the edge of the river and there are a lot of things to do there. You can walk along the Centennial Trail next to the river. A trip on the SkyRide will give you a scenic view of the river and Spokane Falls.

Tacoma is the third largest city in Washington. You’ll learn about the state’s history at the Washington State History Museum. You can see artists working with glass at the Museum of Glass.

One of the places to shop in Tacoma is Freighthouse Square. This is a 110,000 square foot building with shops and restaurants.
