You’ll have fun going to school in Indiana if you’re interested in cars. This is the site of the Indianapolis 500. The first car in the United States was invented in this state. The tourism industry brings ten billion dollars to Indiana every year.

Indianapolis is the largest city in the state. The Indianapolis 500 is held here over Memorial Day weekend. You can also see the methods and equipment that have been utilized for scoring in the Indianapolis 500. Auto racing trophies from all over the world are displayed here. A film of Indianapolis 500 highlights is shown in the museum’s theater.

There are some historic homes in Indianapolis. The 16 rooms of the Morris-Butler House have been furnished to show how an upper middle class family would have lived during the 19th century. There are a variety of other things to see and do in Indianapolis. The Indianapolis Zoo has about 320 animal species. Broad Ripple Park borders the White River. You can take a day trip from Indianapolis to Kokomo. Many technological discoveries have taken place in this city. Elwood Haynes designed the first car in the United States here in 1893. Haynes invented stainless steel. The first pneumatic rubber tire was invented in Kokomo by D.C. Spraker.
