Considering Flight Schools in Arizona?
You’ll think summer in Arizona is the perfect time to further your education in that state if you like very hot weather. Temperatures may go up to 120 degrees in the city of Phoenix during the summer. The average high temperature during the winter months is about 70 degrees. Phoenix temperatures can go down to the 40s at night during the winter.

The state’s geography varies. You can cool off during the summer by going to the Colorado River or Lake Havasu. You’ll find a lot of deserts and mountains in the state. The Grand Canyon is in the northwestern part of this state. You’ll see pine forests in the Grand Canyon and cacti in the desert.

The two largest metropolitan areas in the state are around the city of Phoenix in the Sonoran Desert and near the city of Tucson in the southern part of the state. Tucson is about two hours southeast of Phoenix. Tucson is wetter and cooler than Phoenix. Summers are hot and winters are mild.

Phoenix is the fifth largest city in the United States with a population of almost 1.5 million. Over 13 million people visit the city each year. You’re likely to find something you enjoy in this city. There are golf courses, museums, shopping areas and historic sites.

You’ll find plenty of places to golf in Phoenix. There are over 180 golf courses in Phoenix and neighboring Scottsdale. The courses offer a variety of playing conditions.

Museums in Phoenix have different types of collections. The Heard Museum has displays on the culture of Native Americans of the southwestern part of the United States. Two other museums in the city are the Phoenix Museum of Art and the Musical Instrument Museum.

You can spend a lot of time shopping in the Phoenix area. Scottsdale Fashion Square has upscale stores. Biltmore Fashion Park has stores and restaurants in an open air setting. Specialty shops in downtown Scottsdale sell antiques, books, wine and gifts.

The Historic Heritage Square in Phoenix has buildings dating back to the 1800s. You can get details about each building by taking a tour of this neighborhood.

The Grand Canyon, Lake Havasu and the Colorado River are less than four hours away from Phoenix. The red sandstone rocks at Sedona can be reached in about two hours.

You can find outdoor activities in the Tucson area if that’s where you happen to be for training. You’ll be able to go rock climbing in the mountains surrounding Tucson or ride horses at the city’s stables.
You’ll learn about the state’s history by visiting the Arizona Historical Society and the Tucson Museum of Art and Historic Block. A downtown walking tour will take you through the oldest neighborhoods in Tucson.

You’ll get a look at over 400 animal species if you visit the International Wildlife Museum in Tucson.
