More than 100,000 people come to the zoo every year. You’ll be able to walk near a creek along the Hay Creek trail. You can fish and swim at McDowell Dam. General Sibley Park has places to camp. The Lewis & Clark Riverboat will take you for a cruise on the Missouri River. The river has places where you can go swimming, boating and fishing. The Raging Rivers Water Park is six miles away from Bismarck in the town of Mandan. Bismarck has a number of places indoors where you can spend your time during the winter. The North Dakota Heritage Center has displays on the state’s history. There are concerts at the Belle Mehus Auditorium. You can watch basketball games at the Bismarck Civic Center.
