Central Park has a zoo, a huge lawn and a pond.

There are a lot of other places to see in the city. Two of the museums here are the Metropolitan Museum of Art and the American Museum of Natural History. The displays at other museums in the city focus on art, Jewish history, science, maritime history and many other subjects.

You won’t run out of places to go shopping in this city. Fifth Avenue and Madison Avenue are lined with stores. Greenwich Village has small boutiques and stores. South Street Seaport and the Shops at Columbus Circle have more places to shop.

The next two largest cities in the state are Rochester and Buffalo in the upstate area. These cities are 75 miles apart. You’ll find a variety of things to do in these cities.

One of the attractions in Rochester is the George Eastman House. George Eastman’s former home is now a museum with displays on photography. There are hands-on exhibits at the Rochester Museum & Science Center. You can attend concerts at the Eastman Theatre.

You’ll be able to enjoy the outdoors during the summer in Rochester. Cobb’s Hill Park has scenic walking trails. You can go swimming and boating at Ontario Beach Park on the shore of Lake Ontario.

Woodlawn Beach State Park in Buffalo also has places for swimming. The city of Buffalo has a zoo, an aquarium, botanical gardens and a number of museums. Niagara Falls is only 20 miles away from Buffalo.
