Are You Considering Sport Pilot Training in Nevada?

You’ll find a variety of things to do in Nevada if you decide to go to school here. This state has a lot of desert and mountains. Desert temperatures might be over 100 degrees during the summer. Temperatures will go down to the 60s during the winter and may be less than 40 degrees at night.

Las Vegas in Clark County is the largest city in the state. Over 600,000 people live in the city and nearly two million people live in Clark County. The second and third largest cities in the state are Henderson and North Las Vegas. These cities are both in the Las Vegas metropolitan area.

You’ll really like furthering your education in Las Vegas if you want to be in a city where there’s something going on 24 hours a day. The casinos are always open. There are plenty of other things to do in the city if you’re not interested in gambling. Over 37 million people visited Las Vegas in 2010 to enjoy the city’s attractions.

Many of the casinos in Las Vegas are located in large hotels on a section of Las Vegas Boulevard called the Strip. The Strip is about four miles long. There’s more to do in these hotels than gamble in the casinos. There are more than 160 stores in Caesars Palace. Siegfried & Roy’s Secret Garden and Dolphin Habitat is located at the Mirage. You can see white tigers, white lions, leopards, panthers and dolphins here. Flowers and plants are on display in the Conservatory & Botanical Gardens at the Bellagio. You can take a gondola ride on the waters of the canal inside the Venetian.

There are attractions in the Las Vegas area that aren’t in hotels on the Strip. Places to shop in the city include the Fashion Show Mall, the Las Vegas Outlet Center and Town Square Las Vegas. The city has a zoo and a planetarium. Hoover Dam is 30 miles away from Las Vegas. You can tour the dam.

There’s a lot to do in Nevada outside of Las Vegas. The city of Laughlin is 97 miles from Las Vegas. There are hotels and casinos in this city on the Colorado River. You can travel through Laughlin by taking a water taxi along the river. There are places in Laughlin for swimming and boating.

Lake Tahoe is another interesting city to visit in Nevada. It’s about 500 miles from Las Vegas. There’s plenty to do here outdoors any time of year. You can go downhill skiing and cross country skiing during the winter. There are places in the area for snowmobiling and ice skating. You’ll be able to swim, fish, bike and hike here during the summer.

Reno is about 50 miles from Lake Tahoe. This city has hotels and casinos.
