About The Fremont AIM Campus
San Francisco Metro is home to the second-largest Fed Ex hub in the country, after its headquarters in Memphis, Tennessee. And San Francisco Metro has one of the largest aircraft maintenance facilities in the United States. This facility houses 10 individual aircraft hangers to reduce the maintenance cycle times and keep aircraft in service longer.
Republic Airways bases its headquarters in San Francisco Metro and operates the following airlines from the San Francisco Metro International Airport: Chautauqua Airlines, Frontier Airlines, Republic Airlines, and Shuttle America. All of these attractions make AIM's aircraft technician school in Fremont a fascinating place to study.
Why AIM Fremont?
Fremont, and the greater San Francisco Bay Area, is one of the hottest places in the Golden state. It melds a rich heritage, including Native Americans who settled the region thousands of years ago, to the Spanish settlers in the late 1700s and the Asians, African Americans, and Northern Europeans who followed the 1849 Gold Rush to the West Coast.
Today, over 200,000 people call Fremont home. Despite its big-city size, Fremont maintains a landscape as diverse as its people. While you roam the city, you’ll find hillside neighborhoods, a busy waterfront, and two lakes and nearly 20 miles of shoreline along the San Francisco Bay. And getting outside to enjoy all of this is easy with temperatures in the 50s and 60s in the winter and 80s throughout summer.
Students at AIM's aircraft technician school in Fremont, CA will find plenty to see and do. Whether it be exploring the nearby cities of San Francisco and Berkley, checking out the Oakland Aviation Museum, or simply taking in the views of the Golden Gate Bridge and the Pacific Ocean, your time at AIM will be exciting and rewarding.

About Aviation Institute of Maintenance, The Company
"We Teach the Foundation," Mischell Hosin, AIM. "What we teach here at AIM is actually the foundation," Mischell Hosin - AIM Admissions Representative, Mischell Hosin, one of AIM's top Admissions Representatives, shares her passion for her job at AIM and offers some tips to new and prospective students.
AIM is part of a successful group of companies, which first began in Norfolk, Virginia, in 1969 and has grown to become a network of AIM campuses across the nation. We have maintained a tradition of excellence in education and workforce development throughout the expansion over more than four decades.
AIM is well-known for providing high quality, hands-on training to our students in Aviation Maintenance programs. But as time went on, we saw other industry leaders demanding similar skills our aviation students have after graduating. To fill that need, we went beyond aviation to develop related industry technician programs.
AIM Career Pathways
Aviation Institute of Maintenance is committed to the education and personal enrichment of each student interested in aviation maintenance or a trade technician profession. We offer programs in aviation, maintenance, welding, and technician fields, whether it be for aircraft maintenance, maintenance technician, combination welding, industrial manufacturing, or HVAC.

AIM is an ATEC Partner!
The Aviation Technician Education Council (ATEC) was founded in 1961. Its mission is to promote and support aviation maintenance technician education, with the ultimate goal of enabling the aerospace community to meet its workforce needs.
The council actively engages with regulatory bodies to support an infrastructure that will create high-quality technicians, provides resources, continuing education and networking opportunities to learning institutions, keeps the community informed of activities that impact technician education, and promotes careers in aviation maintenance.

“If you're looking for a school to help you get into the aviation industry, this is one of the best places to go in the Bay Area. You have to stay on top of your studying and be persistent sometimes, but if you stick with the education goals that the school gives you then you'll get your A & P certification. Close to graduation, the school's career services will use their networking skills to later hook you up with partnered airlines to get you a job quickly.”

“I'm currently a student at The Aviation Institute of Maintenance in Oakland and it's an amazing school. The instructors are extremely knowledgeable the campus has the proper equipment so you can really get a hands-on feel. And the student services staff is amazing as well. They work hard around the clock to help with job placement and any other needs that you might need help with rather its school or personal related matters. I've been working closely with Courtney McCallion Who is one of AIM student services staff coordinator, and she is extremely great at what she does, she's put me in a great position to meet so many great recruiters from United Airlines, Rolls-Royce, Southwest and other companies in the industry.”
