The Southwestern Illinois College Aviation Maintenance Technology program gives you the opportunity to obtain the FAA Approved Airframe and/or Powerplant Certificate in one year and an Associate in Applied Science degree with an additional semester of classes. The FAA approved certificate allows the student to take the FAA written, oral and practical tests in the General, Airframe and Powerplant courses. Upon successful completion of the tests, the FAA will issue a FAA airframe and/or Powerplant License.
