Indianapolis is home to the second largest Fed Ex hub in the country, after its headquarters in Memphis, Tennessee. This facility houses 10 individual aircraft hangers to reduce the maintenance cycle times and keep aircraft in service longer. Through Vincennes University you can earn your Federal Aviation Administration Airframe and Powerplant Certificate (FAA A&P) along with either an Associate of Applied Science Degree (A.A.S.) or Associate of Science (A.S.) in Aviation Maintenance Technology.

Courses consist of approximately 60% laboratory and 40% lecture instruction. Certification process starts at the end of the fourth semester and is divided into three parts: An FAA computerized exam in our certified computer testing center, an oral exam, and a practical (skills) exam all given by onsite FAA Designated Mechanic Examiners.
