It has a skid landing gear and side-by-side seating for a pilot and passenger. Powered by a 180 hp (134 kW) Lycoming O-360 piston engine derated to 145 hp (108 kW), it first flew in March 2005. Its development was preceded by a prototype Cabri G2-01, which flew for the first time in April 1992.
