AIM is part of a successful group of companies, which first began in Norfolk, Virginia, in 1969 and has grown to become a network of AIM campuses across the nation. We have maintained a tradition of excellence in education and workforce development throughout the expansion over more than four decades.

AIM is well-known for providing high quality, hands-on training to our students in Aviation Maintenance programs. But as time went on, we saw other industry leaders demanding similar skills our aviation students have after graduating. To fill that need, we went beyond aviation to develop related industry technician programs.

AIM Career Pathways

Aviation Institute of Maintenance is committed to the education and personal enrichment of each student interested in aviation maintenance or a trade technician profession. We offer programs in aviation, maintenance, welding, and technician fields, whether it be for aircraft maintenance, maintenance technician, combination welding, industrial manufacturing, or HVAC.

Before attending AIM I struggled to make ends meet, jumping from job to job, but finally decided to enroll at AIM and train and earn an A&P certification. Now, as a certified AMT, I am finally in a job I am happy with and an income that supports my dreams. "You got dreams, right? Get the A&P." "You got dreams, right? Get the A&P." I am an AIM Graduate in 18 months. I was in a Navy shortly after I was enrolled in AIM. Right now I am employed as a Lead Supervisor. Through AIM. After graduation I received job offer-after job offer. My time with AIM was life-changing and now I have money to fulfill my life dreams! Take charge of your life and get your A&P.

Angel Youngblood - AIM Graduate
★★★★★May 21, 2020

My name is Angel Youngblood and I showed up at AIM one day and spoke to admissions. Soon thereafter I was enrolled, training, and on my way to becoming an A&P Mechanic. At AIM, my instructors prepared us for a successful career, and as an AIM graduate I got a job offer from my first application submitted. I have my A&P and I have my career. If you put in the work, you will succeed through AIM.
