call (801) 232-1945. We are set up and equipped to help you find the perfect helicopter flight school by providing you a list of the top helicopter flight training schools in the nation. In addition, we provide "enrollment coaching".

Choosing the best helicopter flight school will be the most important career decision you will make. Our "enrollment coaches" help you find the flight school that will fit your specific needs. Let us assist you.

Our goal will be to help you locate the best helicopter flight training. If you don't already know, finding the perfect flight training program is a daunting task. But you are not alone, and we will help you find the perfect heli-flight school that fits your unique circumstances.

How do we determine which Flight Schools to recommend and promote? We research, collate data and speak with representatives from many different helicopter flight training programs. Flight training comes in two categories, Part 61 & Part 141. These numbers (61 & 141) refer to the parts of the Federal Aviation Regulations (FAR) under which these schools operate.

We check to ensure that each Flight Training program has been approved and authorized by the Federal Aviation Administration (FAA) to teach FAR Part 61 and/or FAR Part 141.  FAA approval places some of these programs in an elite class of flight training that meets the rigorous Part 141 requirements, and we can help you find the best school for you.

Minimum Requirements for a Private Pilot Certificate

A person who applies for a private pilot certificate with a helicopter rating must first log at least 40 hours of flight training from an authorized instructor (which includes 10 hours of solo flight training). You must be at least 17 years old, must read and write English, pass an FAA Medical Examination, Pass an FAA Written Exam, and pass an FAA Oral and Practical Flight Test. But this is just the beginning.

However, to become a commercial helicopter pilot (get paid to fly) you will also have to earn an "Instrument" and "Commercial" rating, and then finally a Certified Flight Instructor and Certified Flight Instructor Instrument certificate. The point is before you start you need to know the beginning from the end (best pathway) and make all the right moves in between. To do so, you need to enroll in the flight training that will lead to a career.

We recommend that all prospective student pilots conduct extensive research, and then only consider schools that have proven to lead their students to the best career jobs.  Do your homework! The cost for helicopter flight training is expensive, and you don't want to waste thousands of dollars only to find that you are in the wrong school.  Call us 866-814-5450, we can help.

We hope to introduce you to the top quality helicopter flight schools that will help you earn certificates (licenses) that allow you to enjoy a long career as a professional helicopter pilot.

Coaching Point: Our recommendation is that you first look at flight schools that are accredited through a college or university (to receive federal funding through student loans and grants), approved by the FAA (Part 141 and 61), and approved for Post 9/11 GI Bill or the Montgomery GI Bill Educational & Rehab Benefits. You will want and need all the funding help you can get, and flight schools associated with a college or university provide the best funding mechanisms - bar none!
